Officer of the Month: Officer Mike Truskowski

A dedicated member of our force since 2017, Officer Mike Truskowski is honored to protect the local community where he was raised. This Air Force veteran is committed to building trust and making a difference in his hometown every day. Discover more about his journey in our full Q&A.

What inspired you to become a police officer?

My uncle is a police officer for Ambridge Borough. I wanted to be a police officer since I was a kid and never truly had interest in doing anything else.

What does serving this community mean to you?

It means everything to me because I grew up in this area and went to Ambridge School District. I get a lot more self-gratification knowing that I’m serving a community where I have plenty of friends and family.

Did you have another career or job before law enforcement?

I served in the United States Air Force from 2011 until 2017.
